Recorder Extravaganza with Cléa Galhano, recorder: Works from Medieval times, by John Dowland, J.S. Bach and Pele Rose
Michelle Kinney, cello & Gary Waryan, tabla
Gary Waryan and Michelle Kinney have been on a similar trajectory in their musical lives,
forging paths through the worlds of classical music, improvisational new music, pop music,
and music for theater and dance.
Longtime collaborators, in this duo project they apply their mutual classical foundations
in an exploration of improvisation that invites the voice of electronics in the form of "looping",
which sets into motion unanticipated chance contributions to the outcome.
Catherine Ramirez, flute and Eva Beneke, guitar play: "Histoire du tango" by Astor Piazzolla
Donation by the door - CDs of the artists for sale
Please join us for a reception and talk with the musicians after the show!
