Food Truck Fridays to Continue at Union Depot August - October
Two initial Food Truck Fridays at Union Depot in St. Paul in June were such an outstanding success that organizers have decided to continue the festivities on the first and third Fridays in August-October.
The Aug.-Oct. Union Depot food truck schedule is as follows:
August 1st and 15th
September 5th and 19th
October 3rd and 17th (weather permitting)
With a variety of cuisine, from homespun to global fusion, Food Truck Fridays at Union Depot are quickly becoming a delicious new Twin Cities tradition. These fun culinary celebrations will take place from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. on the East Plaza at Union Depot.
As always, there will be something for everyone: from carnivorous cravers to vegetarian and vegan devotees, to gluten-free gourmands, to sweet-tooths looking for a new spin on dessert. And with the METRO GreenLine, enhanced bus routes, bike parking, and parking garages, there are more ways than ever to arrive for your food truck fix in St. Paul.
Plus, beginning in August, foodies will be able to give a little bit back at the Reverse Food Truck – a food drive on wheels. In partnership with the Emergency Foodshelf Network, the Reverse Food Truck, sponsored by Finnegans, will be accepting monetary or nonperishable food donations at the Union Depot Food Truck Fridays to help fight hunger.
Follow Union Depot on Facebook and Twitter to get the scoop on which trucks will be serving. Guests are invited to enjoy their lunch from the food trucks outdoors on the East Plaza or in the beautiful new Rail View Picnic Area (a ten minute walk). In the case of inclement weather, guests are able to eat their lunch inside Union Depot in the Waiting Room area.
